Skin application

As you will know essential oils are easily absorbed by our skin. They are the natural answer to our skin's balance. In our TEABASE range you will find 12 different essential oils. The most important one, included in all our products, is the TEA TREE OIL known for its antibacterical functions.

Inhalation

Scientific researches and tests have shown that some aromatic substances may improve our emotions, relieve stress and avoid skin disorders.

Dermatitis or Psoriasis are the most diffused examples confirming this theory; other disorders may be itches, dandruff, sebum excess and consequent hairloss.

A person using "ayurvedic" products may draw benefits by application and inhalation of certain essences.

The active principles

Tea Tree oil

The "maleuca alternifolia", known as the tea tree, is a plant of the "Mirtacee"-Family (bush). The Tea Tree has its origins in the subtropical zones of Australia. By distillation of its leaves we obtain the essential oil. This oil has an extraordinary antiseptic and germicidal power able to strenghten the natural defenses of our organism. In addition, it has exceptional anti-bacterical and anti-inflammatory qualities.

First discovered in the 20-ies, it soon was scientifically acknowledged for treatments in the gynecological sector and for a variety of infections. After World War II, the Tea Tree Oil suffered a decrease due to a major use of antibiotica and other synthetical medicines.

In the early 60-ies people's mentality went back to "natural remedies" and so the Tea Tree Oil was "discovered" again.

From the beginning of the 70-ies, universities and scientists all over the world made numerous researches on this plant. In particular the United States, Australia and France.

In 1987 the Australian Government acknowledged officially the TEA TREE OIL and the American FDA (Food and Drug Administration) registered this oil as a "natural antiseptic, germicide and fungicide".
